Earlier this week, The Athletic Football Show studied the past 10 Super Bowl matchups to find any patterns in how those teams navigated the free agency leading into that season. While not all of them took the same approach -- the New England Patriots typically handled their offseason business much differently than other clubs -- several commonalities did emerge.
The Green Bay Packers could heed those lessons. Despite a sour finish to this past season, they enter 2025 among the legitimate Super Bowl contenders and could boost their chances of securing the franchise's 14th championship with the right moves. Based on The Athletic Football Show's findings, we can identify four distinct types of veteran additions that correlate to success and highlight options available to the Packers.
