Some folks ask me how does the WR room wash out - do we keep 6, maybe 7 given the vastly young room. I said honestly one of the biggest parts of the answer I think is Tyler Goodson...is he possibly that jet motion guy? Is he going to work out of the slot a decent amount perhaps? The ability to run the ball and run 12 personnel like MLF wants makes me feel quite confident Goodson makes the 53 and we may keep only 5 WRs...along with 4 TEs.
Plenty could change between now and final cuts in September, but the Packers don't necessarily have to limit themselves to just five wideouts and four tight ends if they want to keep three running backs. They'll have some extra flexibility too if Rashan Gary remains on the PUP list to start the regular season.
Regardless, Tyler Goodson's skill set does lend itself to fly motion as detailed in the story. We also know that the Packers like to use "pony" personnel (two true tailbacks on the field together), so he could plausibly work alongside Aaron Jones or AJ Dillon in those situations. At the very least, it's something to watch for during the preseason.
I feel Goodson will find his way on to the field this year and I’m excited to se how he contributes.
