The only 2024 mock draft you need to see the Green Bay Packers first-round options
Who will be available when the Packers pick at 25?
There are many mock drafts. This one is mine. This is what I think will happen based on the publicly available reporting and conversations had with The Leap over the last few months. It also reflects the consensus board rankings and available player props. The goal is to figure out who will be on the board when the Packers pick at 25 and project forward a bit to 41.
1. Chicago Bears — Caleb Williams, QB, USC
The obvious pick and most annoying scenario for the Packers after the Bears blew the chance to draft C.J. Stroud and instead lucked into a prospect who is even better.
2. Washington Commanders — Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU
Luckily not going to the Minnesota Vikings. The end.
3. New England Patriots — Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina
See above.
4. Arizona Cardinals — Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State
It’s a deep receiver draft and they’ll get godfather offers. They traded back, then returned up to select Paris Johnson Jr., last year but they have extra picks. They need stars.
5. (TRADE) Minnesota Vikings — J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan
Kwesi Adofo-Mensah moves on from every big-name, high-money player on the roster including Kirk Cousins only to move heaven and earth for Young Kirk Cousins. Nice. Ends up costing 11, 23, and a future 1st even though that will hurt the Ivy League GM.
6. New York Giants — Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
The Giants spending spree at offensive line this offseason insulates them from having to take Joe Alt here if they are infatuated with a playmaker like Nabers. He’s the “don’t get fired,” pick too because he has the chance to light up the NFL right away.
7. Tennessee Titans — Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame
New head coach Brian Callahan will be extremely tempted to draft Rome Odunze given his experience in Cincinnati where they famously took JaMarr Chase over Penei Sewell, but Alt is too good to pass here.
8. (TRADE) L.A. Chargers — Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
New Chargers GM Joe Hortiz comes from the Baltimore Ravens organization where they clean up trading back, but with one last blue chip receiver on the board and a small gap to bridge, the Chargers send pick 69 to the Falcons along with the 11th pick for the pleasure of drafting a WR1 for Justin Herbert.
9. Chicago Bears — Dallas Turner, Edge, Alabama
Wanted desperately to go Byron Murphy here because he’s getting top-10 buzz and Turner consistently slots in this spot on other mocks, but the Bears invested in defensive line twice in the top 100 last year and need an edge to pair with Montez Sweat.
10. New York Jets — Brock Bowers, TE, Jets
Don’t be surprised if the Jets are the team moving up to jump the Bears for Odunze, but Bowers represents the last blue chip playmaker in the draft and Aaron Rodgers reportedly wants one with the kind of desperation he shows every time he gets behind a podcast microphone.
11. Atlanta Falcons — Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo
Falcons trade back and still get CB1 in this draft class. Terrion Arnold might be a better scheme fit with the defense Raheem Morris played in L.A. but with A.J. Terrell, these two could play just about any coverage Atlanta could want.
