Jayden Reed has been a lot of fun. I still think they need another bigger bodied WR that can just win 1v1 matchups. CW is too in and out of the lineup. Romeo is starting to feel like someone we hear is SO GOOD yet the numbers don't show it consistently. I LOVE ROME tho! The group just doesn't seem to have that 1v1 get me a 1st down man beater that the Packers had in the past. OF COURSE we have time for that growth just as of right now.
As the video touched upon, Dontayvion Wicks will be a part of this conversation. Even before the 13-target game in Week 4, he was third on the team in that metric despite playing less than the other three "top" receivers. Jayden Reed is the fulcrum of the offense, but Wicks can push for that mantle. He certainly has the talent.
Yea it seems like Wicks is a very talented player. I mean they are all still pretty young. I just did a quick search, Jordy, Davante, Cobb took the leap in year 4, Jennings year 3. So it's still so early just it seems that's what they are missing at this 1/4 point of the season. Something I want to see how it ages.
It's worth noting that other than perhaps Greg Jennings, none of the receivers you listed played as well as Wicks during their rookie seasons. Granted, the other three joined very crowded receiver rooms, but that also applies to Dontayvion Wicks.
Some recommended readings on the subject in case you haven't seen them yet:
Thanks keep the content coming/up! I'll give em a read. Those early Rodgers years just so much talent. Then it got kind of dry. I always wanted to say it was because Edgar Bennett had left the WR room. But it seems now they have replenished the cupboard.
