Camp Chatter: What we're hearing through one week of Packers training camp
The Packers have only made it through one full week of training camp thus far, but some potentially meaningful developments have already started to take shape.
For several days after the Green Bay Packers opened training camp, nearly all the chatter around the team centered on Jordan Love's contract negotiations. And understandably so, as securing a long-term deal for the franchise quarterback represented the biggest single piece of business general manager Brian Gutekunst and his front office would handle in 2024.
Of course, after Love finally put pen to paper on Saturday, the extension discourse quickly dissipated. That doesn't mean Green Bay went quiet, however, as the first week of camp generated plenty of gossip in NFL circles.
Though the Packers have only made it through one full week of camp thus far, some developments have already taken shape. Some involve key contributors while others affect potential starters.
